California-born and raised, Jon's involvement in music began in 1977. He seized opportunities to play and write with small local bands. Primarily self-taught on guitar and bass, he is well-versed in many styles of music from simple jazz to theatrical rock. He strives for melodic guitar solos that stay with the listener. His primary influences, including Phil Keaggy, Russ Freeman, Ian Crichton (Saga), Eric Johnson, and Steve Morse, can be heard throughout his compositions. His first solo CD titled "Just Me" is a creation in which he wrote, played, arranged, and produced and is due to be released at the end of August, 2009.
